We don't see the veenas and the mrudangams as often as the guitars and drum sets.

More than anything, there's a huge need today to re-present our own music forms and instruments which are being lost in the clutter. The first time I heard it, I absolutely loved it. It's more like an instrumental cover of Get Lucky. Yashas Mitta Founder Mukha (Online Magazine) One, I don't think it's a remix at all. Pleasant, fun and catchy- all at same time. Harsha Iyer Songwriter & Composer It's a pretty different cover considering the material he's covering and the way he's synthesising all those odd elements together- the orchestration, the phone sounds and the text message ping, which makes it a neat package. The reason? The track is offbeat and bloody good. But his latest release, a compilation of iPhone ringtones turned into a full-fledged electronic track has got him the fastest million views. His Breaking Bad cover, Happy (Pharrell Williams) Remix and Lights (Elle Goulding) Remix are the most popular ones among the lot. Delhi-based Adi 'MetroGnome' is a music composer/producer specialising in Electro, House, Dubstep & Hip Hop genres. MetroGnome iPhone ringtones Track His remixes/reworks are a thing of beauty for he turns and twists and gives the listener a whole new perspective about the song itself while retaining the original essence. With the rule of evolution applying to covers and remixes, we bring you a list that is well received by the audience and find out what sets them apart from the usual Sometimes I think that cell phone ringtones are one of the worst inventions of all time.In an era of remixes and cover songs, we often forget how the original sounds. Breaking Bad may be slowly fading from your memory, but that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy a little trip down memory lane. I realize that they serve a purpose however, I still find nothing more obnoxious than hearing someone’s phone go off at way too high a volume in a public place (except maybe then having to listen to that person’s conversation, which usually also occurs at way too high a volume in a public place). In this case, that memory lane is lined with pulsating beats and a bit of musical wizardry. Breaking Bad may be slowly fading from your memory, but that doesnt mean you cant still enjoy a little trip down memory. I’m willing to make an exception, though, for this: Electronic composer and producer MetroGnome's remix of the “Xylophone” iPhone ringtone. I didn’t think it was possibly to take the most annoying ringtone in the world and make it into something this amazing. I mean, he even managed to make Siri somewhat likeable. MetroGnome, who was born and raised in India and now lives in California, told Electronica Oasis last year that he doesn’t really have a “signature” sound he does, however, draw his inspiration from a huge variety of different sources - something which is readily apparent in his beats. His iPhone remix isn’t the first time he’s taken a ubiquitous tune and given it a brand new twist, either.

He’s given the same treatment to Pharrell’s “Happy,” Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” and - my personal favorite - the Breaking Bad theme song. Not going to lie: I’m kind of tempted to take the iPhone remix and make it into my actual ringtone. Take a listen to it and the Breaking Bad remix - in costume! - below, and check out more of his stuff over at his YouTube page.
